Boardwalk Sand & Surf Inn Beach Hotel

Mohammed was so nice on the phone & when we checked in! The 3rd floor oceanview room & deck with gazebo right outside our door were loved by our dog! The staff was so professional & really seemed to care about us. Exceptionally clean room & great view! Thank you for a great Mother's Day weekend!

I was not expecting much after looking at the reviews - I was so wrong and we enjoyed our stay 100%. The room was exceptionally clean, that was what I wanted. The location is directly on the boardwalk and our second floor room allowed us to view the ocean, boardwalk and Ocean Terrace (main road). There are two options for free parking, in the small lot of Boardwalk Hotel Charlee or one right across the street. We arrived at 4:30 PM and check in went smoothly, unpacked and got to room (10). As you walk in there were three double beds and a TV, no chairs, night stands, or table. As you walk through that room you enter a kitchen area with a double bed, and a small bathroom (toilet, sink, shower). The kitchen was suitable, small bench table, a gas stove, microwave, large coffee pot, and relatively small refrigerator. There was only one pot, no silverware or coffee cups. We called the front desk and they actually brought us everything we needed, including a toaster. I later found out that people tend to walk away with hotel property, sad. We had breakfast in the room everyday, lunch on the beach most days and dinner out 4 nights of our 7 night stay. Management provided us extra towels, as the four in the room did not cut it. They also provided us bags of ice anytime we wanted it and amenities as well. Listen folks - I am use to staying at 5 star Marriott's but know what the Jersey shore has to offer. All four of us were totally happy with our accommodations. We did come prepared by bringing storage bags, plastic utensils, dish soap, sponge and food. I was very impressed with the team at Surf and Sand, Jordan the manager was fantastic, caring and so accommodating, top notch. Mohammed worked the evening shift and again was so outgoing, checked on us all the time, he was so professional. Please give both hotels a chance, they deserve it. Very friendly staff. Location is amazing . Hot showers ! The room was clean (12) they gave nice big towels for showering. We will stay again for sure. I still have not received my 100$ deposit back that is suppose to be deposited back at the end of business day after check out. Other than it’s a great place!!!

Recently stayed here and it was honestly the best location to get that Jersey Shore experience. Mohammad was a great, friendly and reliable host who went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. This is my second summer at seaside, exactly what I expected.

I've stayed here multiple times now over the past six years or so. Each time has been a positive experience. The location is fantastic!! Right on the Boardwalk.....and the view from the upper deck is just as fantastic. The place is clean, the price is VERY reasonable and the owners are on top of their game. I think they recognize me from prior visits.....sometimes a year or two earlier:) We've had a frig and a microwave in our room which is just perfect. You don't have to eat every meal out.....you can bring simple things from home to save money. Parking is also very convenient. Their lot is directly across the street. And if when you check out you want to stay at the beach a little longer, there is almost always ample pay parking very, very close to the beach......often on the section of road that dead ends right up to the Boardwalk. Overall, a very comfortable place to stay, very reasonable rates, and courteous owners.

Location!!!! I was very nervous about staying here after reading all the terrible reviews. We booked the 2 bedroom apartment for 2 nights. The room was completely renovated. Granted it’s not lavishly appointed but the it was clean,the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. It was on the lower level and only had 2 small windows. I didn’t go to stay in the room. Downside was the hallway to get to the room smelled off. I would definitely stay again. Parking is across the street and is first come first serve. So they put us a bit further away. You do have to check in at the sister hotel but it’s not a big deal or far away. Many resorts do this.

My family stayed overnight here this past week and we had a great experience. The room was clean and it’s in a great location. We had the Oceanside room and it was a great view. The man in the office, Mo, was so friendly and helpful. There was an issue with the smoke detector and he fixed it right away. I will definitely stay again.

Welp its a beach motel so if you are looking for perfect wrong place for you. We've stayed at a few places like this on the shore and this one was the best so far. The rooms dont look classy but they are clean. Its right on the beach. Clean and on the beach so its totally worth it for us. There is food all over the boardwalk so there's no need to drive anywhere. Oh and pet friendly
